Play is for adults aged 18 and over. Warning signs are easy to name: chasing a loss the same evening, borrowing to fund a deposit, hiding the size of a session, or playing longer than planned three nights in a row.
Set a deposit cap and a session timer before your first spin. Every licensed operator must offer both tools, plus a cooling off period and permanent self exclusion. A weekly limit of NZD 50 with a 45 minute timer keeps a session inside what most budgets absorb.
